stretching is one of the most under-appreciated and under-trained sections of most exercise routines. if not neglected, it can help you lower the possibility of soreness and injury, and give you more ease and a free-er way of movement, not just in dancing, but also in everyday life. quality over quantity! and: take your time – you will find out it’s worth it.

some principles of stretching: go into and come out of each stretch slowly – hold it for about 20 to 40 seconds. the longer you stay in a stretch, the better it should feel – if you cant wait to get out of it, you went too far…
